Escape Pod’s 20th Anniversary Recap!

This year was a big one for Escape Pod, which celebrated its 20th anniversary! We were thrilled to commemorate the occasion with several events!

• Escape Pod ran a series of curated Flashback Fridays hosted by the incredible Alasdair Stuart. Dive back in time and explore some science fiction gems from Escape Pod’s history!
• For the 20th anniversary episode, editors Mur Lafferty and Valerie Valdes commissioned an original T. Kingfisher story. Don’t miss “That Thing with Bob and the Crop Circles”, Escape Pod Episode 993.
• On July 3, 2025, Escape Pod released its 1000th episode — what a milestone!

The fun doesn’t end there—in 2026, both PseudoPod and Escape Artist Foundation will have their 20th anniversaries! We have a year full of surprises to celebrate in the grandest way—stay tuned!
