As you’re probably seen by now, Patreon has announced fee structure changes. There’s been a lot of discussion already, especially about the disproportionate damage this will do to $1 level pledges.
We’re reading it all, and paying close attention to what’s being said by our patrons, our colleagues and Patreon themselves.
In the immediate future, we’re going to see how the company responds to the massive backlash against this move and then decide what changes, if any, we’ll need to make. (Please respond, Patreon!) Once we do, as ever, you’ll be the first to know.
In the meantime, it’s business as usual for us. All our supports of ANY LEVEL – whether on Patreon, PayPal, or Dwolla – have access to the secret vault of Premium Content goodies for the rest of the year. If you haven’t received a message about that, drop us a line and we’ll make sure you’re in the know.
And if you need to make changes to your Patreon pledge levels, we completely understand. Thanks to you we hit our $1200 goal a full month earlier than anticipated! But between this announcement and the donation dropoff that usually occurs at the beginning of a new year, we’re going to hold off on announcing our next goal for a bit. There are also plenty of ways you can support us without donating.
Thanks as always for your support!
