About the Authors
Alexandra Grunberg is a Glasgow based author. Her fiction has appeared in Cast of Wonders, The Centropic Oracle, The Overcast, and more. She has a DFA and MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow.
Laura Blackwell is a Pushcart-nominated writer with stories in or forthcoming in Nightmare, PseudoPod, Chiral Mad 5, and Weirdbook. A freelance editor, Laura is currently copy editor for The Deadlands. With Daniel Marcus, she co-hosts the Story Hour online reading series almost every Wednesday. She lives in Northern California and at www.pronouncedlahra.com. You can find her on Twitter at @pronouncedlahra.
Bo lives and works close to Amsterdam. Bo is the first Dutch author to have been published in F&SF, Clarkesworld, Analog and other places. Her sf novel “The Wan” was published by Pink Narcissus Press. When not writing, she knits, reads and gardens, preferably all three at the same time. For more about her work, you can visit her website or find Bo on Facebook or Twitter.
Melissa Mead (1967-2022) had more than 80 publications in magazines and anthologies, plus one novel, Between Worlds (2005). She had cerebral palsy, and was a dedicated advocate for the rights of the disabled. She worked for a time at Clover Patch in New York, a summer camp for individuals with disabilities. She later attended SUNY Albany, earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She was a founding member of the Carpe Libris writing group, and a familiar figure at conventions.
About the Narrators
Sigríður (also known as Sigga) is a professional computer geek with a keen interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy. She’s originally from Iceland but relocated from one windswept island in the North Atlantic to another and has now called Scotland home for many years.
Katherine teaches astrophysics for a living and spends her (infrequent) spare time populating the universe with worlds of her own. She is a mother to two boys, and enjoys chaos, water-fights, tree-climbing, and thwarting plans for world domination. Katherine is addicted to chocolate and Japanese logic puzzles, narrates for a variety of podcasts, and wishes she’d started slush reading decades ago. You can read her stories at Cast of Wonders, and also at the Dunesteef and Luna Station Quarterly (though you might need a functional time machine for some). Follow her on Twitter at @chesneycat.
Laura Pearlman is the editor of CatsCast. Her short fiction has appeared in Nature, Shimmer, Flash Fiction Online, and a handful of other places. Her LOLcat captions have appeared in McSweeney’s. She’s a former associate editor at Escape Pod and has guest-edited episodes of Escape Pod and Cast of Wonders. She has a tragically neglected blog called Unlikely Explanations and can be found on twitter at @laurasbadideas.
